For my practicum I took a class called ENES140: Discovering New Ventures
This class taught the basic business, strategy, and leadership skills needed to launch new ventures. We learned how to assess the feasibility of a startup venture, as well as how to apply best practices for planning, launching, and managing startups. We also discussed a wide range of issues of importance and concern to entrepreneurs, and learn to recognize opportunities, assess the skills and talents of successful entrepreneurs, and learn models to navigate uncertainty.

For the final project of this class we had to come up with our very own innovative business idea. The innovative business idea that I came up with is a drone system that can send items that are 25 pounds or less within the United States instantly, like an uber. This drone system could be used to send out items like letters, groceries, clothing items, or even just emergency items like jumper cables or first aid kits. This showed my growth because it helped me to think outside of the box and for myself. This idea increased my confidence in myself as a business man which will help me in my future endeavors. I will apply this practicum in my future because now I have the knowledge of what to look for in businesses whether I am trying to invest or just work at that company.
